“I think that bashing a musical preference is pretty much the dumbest thing you could possibly do. You don’t seem cool and artistic when you complain about a band because “their lyrics are meaningless, their beats are uncreative, their songs are repetitive, their sound is generic, etc.” Call me crazy, but whatever happened to listening to music just for the fun of it? Simply because it’s something you want to dance to, not to be impressed by complicated rhythms and decipher deep metaphors. People who say that one band or genre is better than another are being completely stupid. There’s an endless range on both ends of the spectrum. It’s all different, but there’s never a way to tell if something’s better than another. Music is art, let’s keep it that way. Bash on the metalheads or fangirls all you want, but it’s you people who try to get music down to a science that are the complete morons who are ruining everything it stands for.
